In 1955, a group of ladies in Fort Lauderdale founded Children’s Aid Club to help underprivileged children in their community.  For over fifty nine years, Children’s Aid Club has been quietly meeting the needs of children in South Florida.  Yes, there are many public and private programs that assist the needy in very significant ways, but CAC is nimble, flexible, and able to meet urgent short-term critical situations in a timely fashion.   CAC is an all-volunteer organization with no overhead costs.
By design, Children’s Aid Club is a small group of 35 active members with no paid administrative staff. Our group of dedicated women work directly with the individuals and organizations we serve, ensuring that the people who need help the most receive it in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Children's Aid Club has helped thousands of children and families. We provide value added services with personal contact and involvement. This is our strength and what makes us unique and successful. We are very proud of what we have accomplished.
CAC's programs are funded through special events, donations and grants. Meetings are held in members’ homes and incidental expenses are covered by membership dues. With no paid staff or typical administrative costs, 100% of our fundraising proceeds go directly back into the community.

Children's Aid Club is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
